My car got broken into =(

I'm on vacation in Orlando, I drove all the way down from New Jersey only to get my car broken into on the 2nd day of my stay here I picked up a friend at the airport, came back to the hotel at around 3:30 am, went to my room and knocked out, and 2 hours later I get a call from the front desk saying that there was an incident with my car. The passenger window side was broken and my TomTom was stolen. My ValentineOne was still there hanging (thank god), I'm not sure why he didn't take that. But yeah, this really sucks lol. About how much would the repair cost? Can anyone in Orlando recommend any shops? Any other advice would be appreciated, but spare the "don't leave your GPS/valuable things/etc. visible" - I learned my lesson the hard way. Thanks in advance guys.

Sorry to hear it happened. Glad you learned the "don't leave your **** visible" lesson, sucks you had to learn it this way.

No lecture here, I'm sure you feel bad enough. GL with the repair.

Sorry to hear that. At least you know now that leaving stuff in visible view can end up being costly.

I may have done that once or twice, you skim over the original thread and somehow don't notice everything.... I'd have your window fixed in Orlando and give the receipt to your insurance company when you get back to Jersey. Lesson learned, leave nothing visible!

Sucks man. The first thing the front desk told me when I got to orlando was. Welcome to Holliday Inn, do you have a GPS visible in your car? Kinda freaked me out

Good luck

Damn, for real? I wish I got that warning lol. But yeah, they just broke into 2 other cars 2 days ago. Im surprised they came back. I got mine fixed from a mobile window repair company for only $187. The same night my car got broken into, they jacked this Chrylers' rims and tires and they were from Texas. So yeah, I guess you have to be careful everywhere. I'm coming from Jersey City NJ so the last thing on my mind on the way to Orlando was having my car broken into. Lesson learned.

^^^sounds fishy in that lot... how do you take rims, smash windows that often and not doing something about it.

i was going to tell OP to just pay for it our of pocket sincce deductible is usually higher but sounds like you got it handled already.
