Used engine options

Ok so I think I'm giving up with infiniti pretty soon because it's going to be a hard battle that I just don't have time for. My g burned oil and eventually caught up to the engine. Powertrain warranty expired in aug 09 and miles are 73k. Never complained about it burning oil and I changed my own oil for the last three years. Car is paid off and I really can't sell it now so a new engine is in order. Another reason I am giving up is because my clutch started slipping and I drove the car till it was gone which is probably what caused it to burn more oil. I just forgot because I let the car sit for a month. But it still burned 5 quarts in 3800 miles so I don't know how much is really my fault.

Found a great deal on a 03 22k miles for 1800 or I could get a 05 for 2600 43k miles. I never thought engines were this cheap on this car, anyway both have a year warranty and carfax reports. If these engines have oil consumption would a dealer ever warranty that? Since I have a 03 6mt what is the best bang for the buck?
