Question about 06 projectors

Hello All! I tried searching the numerous threads on 06 projectors before I posted this thread. I realize they are plug and play with the 04 headlights; however, my question is will I lose any high beam functionality using the ballasts from my 04 headlights? The 06 projectors I am buying off ebay come with bulbs; however I am using the ballasts from my 04 headlights. I just wanted to know if the bixenon function of the 06 projectors will work with the harnesses/ballasts of the 04 headlights. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the quick response! Can't wait to get rid of the 04 headlights for the 06 projectors!

Everything will work fine with your old ballasts.

When I bought my projectors I upgraded my headlights to Philips Ultinons and got some Luminics fogs, new parking LEDs, etc. before I swapped them out too. It was way more convenient to get all the new bulbs in there before I installed them, and everything checked out with the old ballasts.

If you were thinking about someday switching out your bulbs to new ones, now would be the time!

good idea, its practically impossible to get to some of the bulbs without having really small arms when the headlights are installed... change the bulbs out while the headlights are already off

I actually just realized the clearance strip is missing from the updated headlights LOL.

Question! I'll need a new light bulb for the foglight right? Since the 03/04 runs 9003 and 05+ is H1, unless they're the same bulbs under different labels (like 168/194...wtf?). Turn signal remains unchanged and I will keep the ballast, which will power both the lowbeam and highbeam since they're bi-xenon. Am I correct?

Got it, thanks. I'm gonna get some nice PIAA yellow H1 fogs.

If I remember correctly I'll also need to readjust the aim for the projectors so I won't blind the **** out of people?

yeah definitely a good idea... you'll need a long and thin flat head for that... (didn't sound right... but anyway) you'll see the gear looking things on the back of the headlight that you need to turn

Thanks for the tip. I'll probably be able to find a chart of where the beam patterns should aim.

I was running PIAA ion yellows on my 06 housings a while back, and they blew out. I am now running luminics yellows and they are way better as far as deepness of the yellow, and havent burnt out yet. I'd reccommend getting those over PIAAs. Cheaper too
