all in all.. if you do it, do it right the first time.. never take the cheap and easy way out, it will always cost more at the end.

Go back and re-read my post. I said there wasn't a million sets to choose from. Keyword here is choose, meaning choose a set of wheels to swap faces with. Look, I am not saying you'll never find a set but you act like a set w/ the opportunity to swap faces comes around everyday. Sure he could have gone and swapped faces but he decided to go custom. There is nothing wrong with that. Fine, you wouldn't powdercoat a set of your precious Volks. But no one asked you.

Ask yourself this, why would Volk even recommend you to re-powdercoat their wheels? Better yet, why would they recommend you to powdercoat their wheels when they can do it for you? Maybe because they'd rather have you buy a new set of wheels in the color you want...

That's like saying, never customize your wheels. Only sport wheels in a finish that only the manufacturers offer. Very one dimensional.

Yeah okay, so he should have waited for the opportunity to swap that could possibly be tomorrow or never. Sounds good to me.

Yes, I'm sure he posted a picture because he wants everyone on this forum to tell him what he should have done. Anyway, the horse is dead. Later.

Powdercoating my wheels wasn't harmful one bit to Volks. I had them done the color I wanted, within about a days time, at a very reasonable price............................
