Hey guys ive had my G for over a year and No problems what so ever with the Cd Changer. A few days ago i noticed my Cd Changer wasn't reading any disk and keeps saying Check Disk but it cant be from the Cd's.. any ideas what the problem is?

 

When mine went bad, the CD tray was unable to move. Are you still able to insert and remove disks? If so, it sounds like it could be the laser.

 

yeah im able to put cd's and take them out..if its the laser, will i be able to replace or fix it?

 

I don't know anything about repairing radios.

If your still under warranty the dealership will cover it. If not, I would still take it there for the diagnosis and see what they want to charge to fix it.

Same thing happend to me twice,luckly I'm still under warranty,the reason that happends is because when u play burn CDs the laser goes crazy and won't read anymore Cds..

 

Just go to search, and then "advanced search". Type in "CD player" and get it to search only topic titles. This is a common issue, it's not a matter of IF your CD player will break, more like WHEN.
