Re: 2005 Specs

Wow cant believe you guys didnt notice this one:
Emissions system
Closed loop feedback system with 3-way catalyst

We have a 2 way and a 1 way stock (2 cats per side)
Crawford cats are a 3-way catalyst

Looks like no more restrictive dual cat setup....heres atleast 10 of your 18 hp.

2003.5 G Coupe premium. 6MT Black/black
JWT/Z tube, UR pulley set, Crawford v5 plenum, Crawford Cats, Technosquare ECU (Crawford package) -Crawford headers and Injen SES on the way-

Re: 2005 Specs

regarding "Closed loop feedback system with 3-way catalyst"

both 03 and 04 have the exact same description on infinitis specifications for these years.

regarding "Electronic Exhaust Valve Timing and structural improvements".

i would guess that the structural improvements would have to be applied to both the auto and manual coupe engines otherwise they would have to stock two different engines. i can see where they enabled or only installed the electronic exhaust valve timing on the manual though.

Re: 2005 Specs

Looks like the 05 6MT will need to be driven harder to notice a difference in performance over the 04's. The low end torque is reduced so the hp gains are mainly comming from the higher revving engine. But driven to it's potential it should still break into the high 13's based on it's weight in optimum conditions.

Re: 2005 Specs

Here is a conversion for torque to hp in the mid range powerband.

270 ft/lbs of torque at 4800 RPM = 247 hp @ 4800 RPM

260 ft/lbs of torque at 4800 RPM = 238 hp @ 4800 RPM

Not a huge difference but the 05's unless there is signifigant weight reduction in the 19inch forged wheels will have a hard time with the 03-04's off the line unless it's powere band has been flattened throughout the RPM range.
