it sucks that there are drivers that bad on the road though... i just look at that scrape and try to imagine the rough feel and sound it should have made for the driver to immediately notice something was wrong
BUT at least he was one of the rare & few nice ones...something good has got to come out of this gl with everything man

i'm trying to look at it as a positive thing b/c my lower door molding was coming off and I had some damage on the rear bumper... both of which will be fixed in leu of everything else having to be repaired... also, those lovely scratches behind the door handle will be painted.
plus I'll probably get a nice gloss black roof out of it too!

That sucks - at least the dude stuck around. I got hit and ran a few months ago (buy hit my rear bumper). I have yet to get it fix cause I've been so busy with school.
Anyway, ask for separate quotes for fixing the quarter panel and door. I'm willing to bet the bulk of the cost is the quarter panel. However, if the door panel is what is really expensive, you can get carbon fiber door skins or something (if you don't like the CF look have them painted over). That way you'll shed some weight and have door-bang resistant doors.

but that's a good idea for the carbon fiber, I wonder how much weight it would actually shed.
