Scraping under the front bumpers!
This damage is just circus peanuts compared to what others have been through.
The G35 is the lowest car I have ever owned. Mine still has the stock suspension, and at times I feel as if I'm dragging my *** down the road. I got her two and a half months ago and have been religiously keeping it 1 foot away from all raised concrete parking blocks and sidewalks. This morning, as I was pulling into the parking spot at my gym, and:
LLLLLLLKKKKKKKK.
DOMO
I backed up a bit and got out to analyze the damage. Two inches of paint rubbed off right beneath the lip of the bumper, and thankfully the car is low enough it's only visible when you kneel down or lift the car in the air. I could probably sand it down, primer, and spray on some matching red paint, or hire a mobile body repair to have it fixed. She wasn't perfect when I first got her: there's a half-inch scratch down to the metal on the driver's door, a scrape behind the driver's side front wheel (where the splash guard would go), and the rear bumper was obviously resprayed at a budget repair shop.
The damage could be a lot worse, but the first one hurts the most. And I do it will happen sooner or later if I park nose-in. I'll chalk this up as an opportunity to repaint the entire bumper after a few road trips to Las Vegas and San Diego, get a Kuruma Z, or plaster on a Nismo or Gialla front lip.![Smilie](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Just wanted to share my foolishness and I welcome you to share yours too.

Yeppp, it's such a bad feeling. I'm with ya man. Even worse is when experience hitting a raccoon or possum that runs out infront of you on the highway at night... cracking your whole front bumper down the middle ![Frown](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
In my old 96' Camry it would have been no problem
, in the G, BIG problem!
It has its advantages (aesthetics of course) but it definitely has it's disadvantages too!
