So I bought the driver side door lock delete from infinite riverside. I don't wanna do the lock delete so I just removed the cover from the metal part it came with. Thing is I can't get it to fit on my lock, the cover. Does it only fit if I remove the lock? I've tried everything it just doesn't go on there.

 

If you're talking about replacing the driver side escutcheon with the passenger side, then yes, it will fit without removing the actual lock. It fits just as the old one. It's been years since I've installed mine, wish I could offer you some advice other than it will fit.

 

I'm not actually replacing with the passenger one. My car was stolen long time and the lock was changed and there was no cover and i ordered the lock delete for the driver side with the escutcheon. I was trying to get it on there but the lock kind of sits all the way down so the cover cant go on there.

I think I am a bit confused by your question, are you just trying to cover up the actual silver door key locking mechanism? If so why? I have thought about the possibility of my keyless remote battery dying and being locked out, but good thing is that in the slim possibility it does when I am out, you can still remove the door lock delete with your key and then use the key to unlock the door the old-fashioned way.
