I have the light turn green on me @ the intersection of Peachtree Parkway & Tech Pkwy here in Norcross and start going across. As I'm halfway across, I saw an Audi A6 and Ford Conversion Van *racing* in the northbound lane from the previous light on P'tree Parkway (the light will be red at my intersection for them). The Audi sees the light (or ME!) and slams on the brakes, but the van almost smacks right into me with brakes squealing and rubber burning. If I had not seen them and slowed up, my G would be toast as well as possibly my own life.

Just remember who you race on the street might not pay as much attention as you do to his/her surroundings. My brother was run over by such an event in 1984 while he was walking home. I almost became a second casualty for my family from the same idiocy.
