I was wondering if since the new 05's offer 19's do you think the prices of the 18's will come down. I want to get a set of 18's but dont want to spend $1400 on a set.

Probably not...these dealer parts are usually set at a
market price and it doesn't go down too much unless they
are going to be discountinued.

If you can accept a 5spoke design, you might want
to consider getting some ASA wheels in 18's. they
have +35mm offset so it will look factory even without
a drop.

I had the same feeling. And you guys thought the factory 18"s were expensive at the dealer. I can't wait to see what they charge for the 19"s...

 

The 19's from the Infiniti site show Bridgestone Potenza's. If this turns out to be the production tire, grab the Michelin 18" setup while you can.

 

According to the 2005 specs, the 7 spoke titanium finish 18" rims are also forged. Does that mean our 18" rims are forged too? With that being the case, I think our 18" rims weigh 24 pounds, so I'm guessing the 19" would weigh the same if not more.

 

I think the spec sheet is mistaken. The 19" is forged but the 18" remains the same. I have no doubt the new 19" will be lighter than the current 18". I originally planned to acquire the 19" 05 rims for my coupe, but seems like the 19" will be hard to come by, and the design is not very classy. For now I am drooling over the 19" wheels they will be offering on the M45.
