The bottom of my G scrapes! :(

Exclamation The bottom of my G scrapes! :(

Whenever I go up or down a steep driveway I find my G scraping either the bottom of my front bumper, the bottom of the body, or the bottom of my exhaust pipes. This is a horrible sound and pains me whenever this happens to my precious G. It's obvious the reason is because of how low the car rides. I was wonderinig if anybody is familiar with something to put on the bottom of my car that will protect my car from getting further scraped.

My g never scrapes on anything....is your car lowered? Try angling as you go over things..

No, my G is not lowered or anything. That's what I usually do, I angle up when going up a driveway but sometimes even that doesn't work. I remember a buddy of mine telling me that there was something on the market to buy that would protect the bottom of my car for that exact reason, I just don't remember what it exactly he said it was. That's what I'm trying to find out (if anyone knows about what I'm talking about).

Mine scrapes once in a while but that due to speed bumps. No matter how slow i go it seems like i will scrape it.

yupp i think there are a few people with it here, but idk. like the guy with the blue neon said, itll be the first thing to scrape so itll take most of the damage

That's one option, but are there any other better alternatives that anybody knows to resolve the irritating scraping issue?

avoid certain places where your G can't clear??

That's just unavoidable, given that anywhere you go you cannot avoid the inevitable bad road conditions.

curious, where do you live OP?

personally, i have about 4 inches of clearance; dropped on coilovers. not even that low compared to a lot of peeps on here but it does limit where i can go/need to avoid. if it's like an underground parking lot, well, then you're screwed lol you make adjustments, park on the street, take your buds car, etc. haha

scraping just comes with the car, im still stock suspension and i scrape/bottom out all the time

stock the G sits pretty high..... Are you trying to jump speed bumps? Seems a little overboard. Is something hanging under your car creating the illusion your scraping?

If you angle it a stock G should have no issue with anything unless the city you live in has walls as driveways.
