Did my own LED headlights, quick question

So, I decided to go the painting headlights route, while having my headlights opened I figured I would put in LEDs as well to spice things up a bit (I have the 06+ lights)

My question is, I have zero experience with installing LEDs, all I know is what I've read from random threads on here and YouTube videos. The only thing I could find about how to wire them was from the guy with the hydro car, has the "project sexy lights" thread (awesome headlights, btw).

Basically, I did individual LEDs in a series, putting a resistor (50ohm, the brown red orange one I believe) on every 4th one (that's what he said he did) and tapped into the city light power so it would come on with my parking/city lights. The only thing is they don't turn on when I installed them back on the car...

Does anyone know how I should wire this? I know the connection is solid because I tested it with a 6v lantern battery, however, it wasn't strong enough to run all the LEDs, so I could only test them in multiples of two.

I would rather do this myself than to pay someone to do it, but if push comes to shove, I know a hobby shop here in San Diego that said they might be able to do this for me.

Thanks!

Because I think strip LEDs in the headlights look super tacky. I like the look of individual ones way better.

Thanks. They don't turn on though, I was asking if anyone had knowledge about wiring these up so I could make them work.

I'd assume if they work on a battery, you probably spliced into the wrong wires, or maybe swapped positive/negative by accident? try checking your connection to the city light. (do your city lights work still?)

I wired them to the city lights correctly, I connected the positive to positive and negative to negative. And yes, my city lights still work. I think the issue is finding out after what LEDs I need to solder on resistor(s) and if I even have the correct ones.

Nice work bro. How did you put those LED's in there? Did you have to remove the entire grey plastic casing? I've been wanting to get creative with my headlights for a while. I've been inspired by CiNcityDesigns Let me know how you did this mod. Thanks.

I'm thinking you have the LED's wired backwards. There is a longer lead on the LED's. The longer lead is the positive side of the Diode. If you connect them backwards they don't work. Try wiring them in reverse of what they are and I bet they will come on.
