The damn thing broke right off in my hand when i was trying to open the door. I wasn't jerking it or opening it too hard, just a simple grab and it came right off. Waiting on a call back from my local Nissan dealer to find out the final price. Anyone ever deal with this?

 

I noticed that my driver side door (06 coupe) feels loose, not solid, when I pull on it

^^^saywat? is right. There are some on eBay. Pretty cheap too compared to a stealership price.

 

Thanks guys, I looked into the ebay handles and couldn't find what I need. Dealership price is $150+. I am hoping I can take the door panel off this weekend and see if I can replace an individual part so I don't have to purchase the whole thing, but it's looking like that might be the case. I will also have to have it painted and installed....looks like a good time to have my grill painted TB as well!

 

Did the lock bolster (escutcheon/lock) come loose or completely off? That happened on my passenger side. It's held on with just one bolt through the black plastic dust cap in the door jam area. If the bolster comes off, then the handle can be removed by pulling out and back on the door handle, but initially it feels like something broke. I found the bolster where it fell when someone used the handle last and bolted it back in and everything was fine. Seems like it was loose since I got the car. Had to tighten the driver's side bolster as well.
