Engine Cover(off/on)?

just wondering if having the engine plastic cover on the block is stopping the engine to breath as good as it can? jw on this and is it bad to drive with the plastic cover off the block for everyday use or does it get gunk and dirt around ur engine bay?

I think the cover just slightly baffles the engine noise when u hit the gas. That's about it

No. Plenty of guys rock the bare plenum. Get it painted or polished for a better look if you're gonna take it off

Sean polishes the plenum so it looks like chrome, his DRIVER name is SXEXCX PM him for prices/exchange/delivery. You can't beat his quality anywhere....

No problems with no engine cover. I have a 350z cover so it covers only half. But either way you will be fine

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
As mentioned above SxExCx offers polished parts which look great. I have timing covers and a throttle body he did. I happened to buy a plenum already chromed for a little different look. PM me if you want to know how much. You'll be fine running no engine cover. Might actually help a little by not retaining some of the heat underneath it.

Here's how my bay looks currently

Dang you, BD, SxExCx-ied up your bay while I wasn't lookin'!

Did you polish the whole timing cover, or just clean it up good?
