My opinion would be that Nissan/Infinitis are better built cars overall. I have 185,000 mi on my coupe and I dont even have an engine light. My biggest repair was re-greasing the rear axles (common issue), so from experience, I can say GREAT QUALITY.
THIS IS JUST MY OPINION
This forum is very bias. I owned 3 Infinitis and all where giant pieces of sh*t, they constantly were at the dealer for fixing problems. There are TSB lists a mile long as well.

I dunno. I just think they look cheap. Like a knockoff set of sunglasses. There's just something about a nice pair of ray-bans vs a pair of Sun glasses from a gas station. It's the same thing with these two cars. Just somethin about it that's hard to put a finger on. Fit & finish stuff I guess.

If you had a bad experience once, why go through it 2 more times? If you dont like it sell it. Many cars will keep running as long as you take care of them. Some cars require more maintenance than others, and some cost more to fix than others. From my experience with a G35, parts can be bought at a very decent price, and the car could keep running perfectly with very minor maintenance. JDM!!

I dunno wtf you're talking about.

What was Infiniti before the G35 and before the FX? Most people never heard of infiniti before the G. If they did it was just a car. Nothing special. The G35/FX is what made infiniti what it is today.

On the other side the Genesis is sexy, powerful and modern. However it's 5 years newer than the G coupe (03 vs 08 when both models started). If you want fair comparison you compare an 08 G sedan or G37 to an 08 genesis.

So maybe Hyundai Genesis is the boost for Hyundai to becoming a decent brand same as what the G35 did to the Infiniti brand back in 2003.

One of my staff own a 2012 genesis sedan V8. All I can say is wow. Another friend owns an Aquus or whatever it's called with the 430hp engine. That's sick. I'm not a Hyundai fan at all, but truth is truth.

The problem is that Hyundai copies (obviously) Infiniti after Infiniti spent millions on design, aero engineering, mechanical engineering,, interior design, etc. And then tries to build their company off of somebody else's hard work. It deserves no respect just as Pepsi deserves no respect for copying coke. McDowell's gets no respect for copying McDonald's, etc. Do yer own thing; Stop thieving. I would respect Hyundai more if they just kept on with the Tiburon. Plus, I farted.

Every car industry is copying another. And infiniti is no different.

Not that blatently. There's a difference between inspired by and straight up copying.
