What you think about this?????????

I want to be different and do somthing nobody is doing and I thought about it long and hard some people say its tacky others say its hot
what you think?

I HAVE A BLACK G35 COUPE WITH 20'S CHROME
I WANT TO POWDER COAT ONE SIDE MATTE BLACK WITH A GLOSS LIP
AND LEAVE THE OTHER SIDE CHROME
with the same rims

Now before you go postal on me think about it you never see both sides of a car at one time you would just assume that the other side is the same. Also any picture someone post only shows one side. Its almost like having 2 cars cause if I pull up on someone on one side they will be like thats hot and if I do the other side they will think is that the same car but thats hot too its like having the best of both chrome the grown man look and blacked out the racing look

See Pics below to see what each side will look like

I say go for it.

But powdercoating your rims will not make them look like custom carbon fiber 360 forged rims.

I live in Miami, FL and I recall a few years back at HIN a corvette pulled it off and it looked sick. I think you should go for it and I bet you'll get support form the guys on the forum but I'm sure you'll get mixed reactions from on-lookers while driving lol a lot of WTF's lol

Almost 6 years ago my friend Craig owned a M3 and he was running two different styles of HREs on each side. I was like WTF, make up your mind....LOL

dam, SIN3's G was soo sick!!

you'll have to get a wheel that looks nice in both of the color schemes you want, not easy...

and yes, someone had to different colors of time attacks a while back... not common, but you wouldn't be the first either...

Tacky as hell IMO, I don't care if its on a Bentley, Ferrari, G, or a Civic. And like others have said, you wouldn't be the first. Good luck though.

I agree. Maybe I'd have to see it in person, but I don't see how this could look good. To me it'd just seem like you didn't have the money for a set of 4 and bought two different types of wheels.

^ did you read the post?

He wants black on one side and chrome on the other side...

Example:
Driver side rims: Black with polish lip.
Passenger side: Chrome rims.

I'll take your half and half and raise you 4 different wheels for the 4 corners of the car. The lips will all be different, too. One will be step lip, one will be flat lip, one will be concave, and the 4th will be a donut.

Please don't do this. I'm all for being unique but this just sounds like a dumb idea.
