2005 G35 Coupe Steering Problem

Ok, I have a 2005 G35 Coupe. One day the steering seemed to have an occasional sluggish feel to it a couple of times over a 2 or 3 month period. Then about 2-3 weeks ago it became constant like it's not getting any assist. I checked and fluid was full, no leaks anywhere. Took to Nissan shop cause Infiniti dealer is 2 hours away and Nissan shop recommended power steering pump, changed that with OEM new pump, same problem, so we put in new OEM rack, still same problem. Anyone have any ideas as to what's wrong? Someone told me to order new power steering fluid sensor but tired of throwing money away.

did you check all fuses to the system and any related relays? Have them test the sensor. check codes to see if theres any failed sensor

I think it's actually a pressure sensor, here is a reference that I found:

I took that screen shot from the ps.pdf of the FSM. The title of the page is:

Hydraulic Line - Removal and Installation. You should be able to download the FSM somewhere, but if you can't find it, PM me and I can try to help you locate it.

I have the same issue. I discovered that it is most likely the steering angle sensor. Once you replace it your abs/vdc/slip lights will turn on. The dealership will have to reprogram the sensor. Good luck.

i got a similar problem, took it into the shop and they said my lowering kit has made it stiff...it feels stiffer yes but it shouldnt take me soo much effort to unwind the wheel and stuff. after they said the steering rack was sweating a bit but it shouldnt make such a huge problem, then i said i screw it they were chargin me by the hour. im thinkin it might b the pump
