they are two diff animals..the 37 has a waaay better motor but the overall driving experience is a lil more luxury and more of a detached'' feeling if you will, when compared to the ''brute '' of a g35 6mt which is a lil harder to drive and a lil more mechanically involving of an experience...the motor of the 37 is way more of a step up engineering wise from the 35.

Yeah, when the 37 came out I was worried that it was going to "force me" to go out and get one. As others mentioned, the rear end is terrible and overall the car doesn't flow well like the 35. And, the car is heavier and when I drove the 6MT it really didn't feel any different in terms of speed. The 37 sways way too much also.

Long story short, in some ways I am glad the 37 missed the mark. Financially it is great to have had no car payment for nearly 4 years.

I initially had the same feeling/concerns when the G37 came out... especially since I bought my G35 brand new in '04. I wasn't afraid that I'd have to get a G37, but before I actually saw it in person... I was a little worried that the potential looks of it might make the first gen G35's look dated and ugly. Once I actually saw it, I didn't feel that way at all... I really like the looks of the G35 Coupe.

I saw a G37 in the parking lot at my job today in the same color as my car, and I thought to myself.. "wow.. I really do like my G35's appearance a lot better than the newer G37". Funny that you mention that today.
