gloss black vs chrome grill

I have a LR g in the body shop and want them to paint the grill. I am not sure which would look better gloss black grill /w chrome logo or stock chrome grill? I will also have 06 head lights that are chrome also. Any help would be great I have to let the body shop know soon.

IMO, keep it OEM unless you have/want a red/black theme going (black wheels, black headlights, black roof, etc.)

Here is one with a black grill and nothing else black:

If you sift through all of the photos in the * LASER RED * owners come in thread you can find some good examples of what it will look like.

^ what he said. If you are going with the red/black theme go for it, otherwise stick with the OEM. IMO the gloss black only looks good on the OB

Seriously LR with a black grille looks good because the lower grilles are black too. The LR coupe in the pic looks nice and very clean with cool wheels....

I completely agree. I was going to post to not do black unless you're going to carry that theme to the rest of the car, but when I saw the pic Gary mentioned I changed my mind. OP if you went with a black grill you might want to paint your rear diffuser black as well. It really looks good without being too much.

That's mystermann's car.. or Jason, would be his real name. The black grill does look very nice on his car, I think its better then the OEM, honestly. But either way, black or OEM, the grill will still look nice.

Jason just needs some smaller tires is all. 305/30/20 is pretty damn meaty.

My car is LR and the black grille looks much better, however I didn't vote because gloss would look terrible...use a flat black color like bumper coating

My G is black and I am really wanting to do the black grill as well. I have done some searching online but I can't find where to purchase one. I want to keep the emblem on the grill so I guess its just a black OEM grill like you guys are talking about. Where can I buy this?

Thanks
