Has this happened to anyone? How hard is it to take off the door panel? Is there any write ups?


Also I was messing with the key, and auto unluck button on the drivers side panel, and i noticed it had some problems automatically opening, struggling, and finally just not even moving after hitting the button.

Was is this about? Is the solenoid going bad? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Oh yea, its a 2004 G35 for anyone wondering how old my car was lol.

 

Sounds like your lock actuator is bad.

I did a search using the terms you gave me instantly from the first post!!! Why? Because I had no idea what the term was called for the device to unlock the doors, I assumed it was 'solenoid' but that didnt come up with much from my first search lol.

Anyways, after searching here are my results.

I found the thread for the '$5 fix', which is very DIY, but will take some skill from someone that is confident in taking apart their door panel, and splicing into the stock wiring harness for the window actuator.

WIth that said, Hopefully I can get this to work. I am most scared of frying something! But I will do it patiently, and solder it to make sure it will never go bad on me!
