And by 'modded' i mean I have PAC USA iPod cable installed. But my CD player is screwed up and skips CDs every few seconds or so.

So the question is, if I bring in my car (which is under extended warranty now) for CD player repairs, and they will see that it has iPod cable connected - will they void my CD player warranty? Or is fine, because two issues are not related?

OR should I disconnect the iPod cable from the car myself (will take ~40 min) before taking in for repairs?

Knowing Infiniti some dealerships will do anything to keep from honoring your warranty regardless if the two are related. To be safe remove the cable then they won't have an excuse to turn you down for repairs....logic?

Follow up question - if I bring in the car for repairs, they take it and then bail out do to the iPod cable - will it somehow get marked in the system that I have iPod cable installed? Or can I just take the car home, take out the cable and bring the car back in for repairs?
