Do you have a coupe or sedan? How does the car respond with the ski on? And how about pulling out of the dock.

I know the manual said zero tow capacity but fuc it, I’ve been thinking of slapping a hitch to pull my ski for a while.

I'm not sure about your manual, but my owner's manual says (the table looks better in the manual):

Code:
TOWING LOAD/SPECIFICATION
TOWING LOAD/SPECIFICATION CHART
Unit: lb (kg)
MAXIMUM
TOWING LOAD
1,000 (454)
MAXIMUM
TONGUE LOAD
110 (49)

You're right. I was confused with my 350z’s manual.

I have one on my sedan and my buddy has one on his 03 coupe. One thing to watch out for is that the coupe design only mounts to the aluminum bumper reinforcement which is very weak. The right way to do this, especially if you want to put more than one bike on the rack, is to have the hitch modified to go around the exhaust, to mount to the floor of the trunk. Until you do this, it would be a scary proposition.

Lucky for me, the sedan exhaust doesn't get in the way, so the hitch for the sedan is stout and ready to go out of the box.

Or just get a freakin roof rack! and not making your G look retarded while going down the road. It'll probably block your license plate from view too. which is bad....

Roof rack is not a good idea, especially in a g. One thing that can happen is rocks and such items falling from the bike and hitting the roof, causing paint damage. Also, a roof rack is harder to install/uninstall than removing a bike rack from a hitch, so it will take away more from the look of the G. Finally, most roof racks interfere with the weatherstripping; marring it permanently.

I think a roof rack would look worse than a hitch.

There's nothing wrong with putting a hitch on these cars. You can still take the bar off while not in use, right?
