Just got my 2nd G35

Wrecked my 03 g35 AT IP. 100,000+ miles.

Picked up an 05 g35 6MT diamond graphite sports package last week. 48,000 on the odometer, with 4.000 miles on the new engine that was installed because of the oil leak problem.

Car drives baby smooth and I am liking and disliking the manual at the same time.

I guess I got lazy driving an auto, and longed for the control of a manual again. So I got a manual, my first drive I hit traffic coming back from Austin to Dallas. So needless to say, my leg was a little sore after not driving a manual daily for 5 yrs.

But very happy with the manual, feels so smooth. And I love the 19 inch rays yo!

Hey Zmonkey!

Happy to hear that you got your G from Austin. I will assume that your transaction went smooth?

Butter smooth kobxeoptionz. Much thanks to you again man. Had all the paperwork and everything ready. Re-titled the car, no sweat.

Much props to your advice!

haha, i wrecked my first G it had 90k+ and bought an STi.... that got wrecked too went back to a G with the nav this time with 30k miles on it hope my bad streak is over. I love the G but the STi was too much fun maybe someday i'll be able to have them both!

Very similar to what my friend did. He wrecked his STi, then went to a G35 sedan. Weird transition if you ask me. lol. Cause damn...that STi was FUN to ride in.

yeah awd + turbo is a whole new adventure... the g is pretty quick but when you stand on the throttle and the turbo catches up... feels like someone grabs your shoulders calls you a pansy and slams you back in the seat. But i came back to the G for the overall package... everybody turns their heads when you drive by in the G and no one has every asked me if my G could "fly"... that guy almost got punched in the nose but he was driving an Acura TL so i knew he didn't know any better. I have decided no matter the vehicle i need the hks bov back in my life and for this i feel like i'll forever be broke

^Lol! Same here too! I had an WRB/Gold 06 STI. One day I might get back into one (not feeling the GR). I loved taking curved off-ramps at 60mph while everyone else had to hit the brakes

haha oh yeah i had my list of awesome exit/entrance ramps that i had to hit in certain areas... it felt like the harder you pushed it the tighter it would turn and yeah the new hatches are starting to grow on me a little bit but i would never buy one over a GD. I did miss that i wouldn't get a little wheel slip off the line and a churp in 2nd like you can w/ the rwd G. Also accelerating from a stop pulling out of somewhere with a 90 degree turn just felt weird with AWD like the car was fighting itself didn't feel smooth.
