i'm about to install the nismo shift **** and was wondering if u guys left the washer or took it out when installing the new shift ****.
i read one guy that left it on and it vibrated like a b!tch or something.

Depends on which Nismo shift **** you have. I have the titanium shift **** and the brass washer did vibrate. So I wound up removing it and had no more vibration.

Basically give it a try and if it vibrates ..... remove it

i have the titanium one. took it to performancenissan and they installed it for me for free. i just couldnt get that damn thing off.

the tech guy said i dont need to hold the bottom of the shifter with the locking plier cuz it's held on by 3 different bolts.
at first he was trying to twist it with his bare hands. i was getting kinda scared but i duno. my gear seems to be fine.

 

the washer does vibrate. i have the nismo titanium GT ****.

i just used electrical tape to keep it from vibrating. works like a charm

Left washer on, No vibration. However, I used the Home Depot Toilet Washer as the finisher. I have the leather ****. I like it a lot.
