Help!! Tpms

ok so last night i was driving back home with some buddies from some small street meets and about half way home my TPMS light blinks for a minute then stays solid which means there is a malfunction.
the thing is i dont have any in my tires becuase i have aftermarket rims.
i have tried some resets to see if it would reset and just go away but no luck

Correct me if im wrong, but I though that if you dont have the TPMS in your tires then the light wont go off ?

Any ideas or do i need to go to the stealership and have them check it out.

I really would just like to reset it somehow and get rid of the problem or even disconnext the system if possible?

thank you for you input

I'm pretty sure if it doesn't detect TPMS, then that in itself is a malfunction and the light will come on. So resetting it probably isn't doing any good.

Anyone here have any more info?

Mind if I ask you a question, why didn't you install the TPS in your Volks? It's nice to know if you have a tire going down so you don't end up messing your Volks up. They've let me know twice I'd picked up a nail or two. The "tire pressure sensors" install just like valve stems....

everything
Mine goes on if I drive more than like 20 miles. I heard there was a reset but it doesnt bother me since I stick around town and it never goes on, only long distance trips

i have had the volks on for a good couple of months and the light never came on for me and the tpms actually dont fit i tried already.
so thats why i was wondering if i could just clear the code becuase i have driven a good 2k miles or so and no light whatsoever so i just figured it could be cleared somehow. and i check my tire pressure before driving and if the tires did get a flat then the tpms takes to long to tell you anyways you would know a long time before it turned on that you had a flat

ok so i did some thinking and it occured to me that maybe the spare has a tpms in it and it could have just gone bad and trigered the light? is that a posibility?

just pull the fuse that does that feature lol - make sure it doesnt control others as well. or take off your gauges and disconnect the light. GL

My guess is you're too lazy to have them installed! I've had my sensors in two different sets of Volks along with my OE wheels. Unless your running 22" wheels there's no reason why they won't fit....

not lazy at all i took it to the dealership and thats all they told me was that it wouldnt fit. but that is besides the point I was only trying to figure out why it didnt go off right away when i got the new wheels instead of like 3 months down the road thats all i really would want to know.
and i am anything but lazy i do most of my work to my car i dont usually let anyone else touch it so no im not lazy. just asking a simple question to those who have the knowledge and if that isnt you then dont respond please.
