...dealership leaves me with bad taste in my mouth

hey guys,

im just so irritated..you buy an expensive car, you pay high dollar, OEM stuff goes bad and im not asking for handouts but i would like a30K+ car to last more than 4 years. Its a 2005 g35 coupe...80K miles

So 2008 i brought my car in for the following:
1.) Navi auto motion was broken
2.) Driver seat was ripped near edge
3.) Clutch was sticking

They said navi was covered...seat and clutch was not and they were wear and tear items. I said ok. I had my parents repair shop open the tranny.

The tranny bracket bolt mount on the frame snapped off. Then i find the problem. The clutch slave was messed up. I bought a new on, bleed and it ran fine. This should have been definitely warrantied

So before i bought parts i told them what i found and they still said it was Wear and Tear items.

Then i couldnt fill my gas tank past 1/2 mark. I took it to them 3 times and they said they had never heard of any problems before and couldnt replicate it.

So today, a year later, i get the airbag recall..GREAT another trip to these guys. I decide to look around the boards and see about the recalls and find a thread about all the service bulletins.

and low and behind. Service bulletin warranting The gas Tank problem and the damn driver seat.

BUT Now im out of my warranty!!!

So what do i do now? I decided to call USA Infiniti customer service and they gave me a reference number and told me to take it in...weak. My basis was that I was told when i was in warranty that it wasnt covered and now that i found out, id like them to honor it.

what do you guys suggest.....I really just want the seat and fuel tank problem fixed...

Didn't you wonder why we call Infiniti Stealerships? Take it in like Nissan suggested, see what they say. You can always drive out and never
return like the rest of us. The only time Infiniti sees my coupe is for warranty work, service I either DIM or my friendly Nissan dealership where they know me and SLICK.

As Gary said... F*ck infiniti unless you're going for warranty work. I always take my car to Nissan for service work. Nissan people are much, much nicer to me, the know me now and give me employee discounts on everything, they don't BS you around (for the most part) and they don't charge the outrageous prices Infiniti does. Practices of some of these dealerships need to be investigated because it's a crime how many of them work.

It really makes you wonder are these Infiniti's policy's or are their mechanics so poorly trained that they can't discover what's wrong with things like clutches/transmissions. Why are the Nissan dealerships so much better? To bad Nissan can't do our warranty work, at least it would get done right!

Why would you have the wash dude at Infiniti wash your car, all you hear about is how they mess up our cars. They use the same filthy mit to wash cars all day long (scratches) and spray the wheel cleaner on the wheels which destroys aftermarket wheels. Unless you don't like your G35 and are a lazy azz don't let them near your car.... Yea, a free car wash at what cost??
