2005 6MT Cold Shifting

Bought the car at 44k, took it to the local mechanic for the 60k service (at 60k) which they did the power steering, cabin airfilter, all fluids flushed and cleaned and switched to a synthetic where applicable.

Now in the mornings when its cold, the car will not go into second gear! I have to bypass 2nd into third. The shop is starting to tell me they think the syncro is going out. F-that, it was perfectly fine before I had this ****ing 60k work done.

Thoughts? Does this car have a clutch slave? Maybe they didn't bleed it thoroughly? What is the factory spec'd gear oil weight?

They are replacing the tranny fluid again as wek speak with the factory stuff. They said there was a TSB for a change of fluid...
