Red face buying from g35driver member??

just had a couple questions about a purchase i made here on driver... i have bought several items from other members here on the forum and all transactions have always been really good or at least the communication back and forth has been cool. i purchased something from a member here a couple of weeks ago and all of a sudden i cant get a hold of that person and my item has not been shipped out (which i should have got over a week ago). i have tried sending messages but i don't think thats working. i did pay through paypal and really never have gotten scammed or anything like that before but this does kind of smell fishy.. just wondering if i should go through paypal to fix problem or give it some more time . suggestions are very welcome, thanks

What was the item, and which member did you buy it from? If it's been a couple weeks already, send a PM/text/email to the seller telling him that if he doesn't get in contact with you within the next 24 hours, you'll file a report with paypal.

Opening the claim in PayPal is easy and can definitely get attention if no other means does.
If no response after a couple days that way, escalate it.

^^ i kinda feel bad about puttin his name out there (like a ****ty seller) in case he does have some legit excuse why he hasn't gotten back to me or shipped out the item. i have never filed a claim with paypal before but i guess i will by this weekand in case it is a scam, put his name out there as well so it doesn't happen to more people.. any people here have filed a paypal claim?? is it a pain in the ***?

Don't feel bad about posting his name, like you said, you'd be helping this forum's members by warning us about him. Cutting off contact with you for weeks after he has your money in his pockets isn't cool. But if it turns out he had some legit reason for it (has happened in the past with vendors), just post here letting us know everything is resolved, or better yet, direct him to this thread.

Too much of this going on lately. Before I buy from someone on here I check to see how long they have been a member and what's their itrader status. I've always had good experiences (knock on wood).

Without the sellers name and what you purchased leads me to believe this thread is bogus. If true, you should be pissed off enough to post the information so the rest of us don't get ripped off....think about it!

You must tell us the forum members name so other members won't potentially get scammed

i guess some people on here are known for writing up bogus threads but that just seems a LITTLE stupid to me...
his screen name is 6mt.sauce and he has been a member on here since 4-09. he also has 2 positive itrader, i never even really paid attention to that since i have bought several items from here as well as sold a couple things and never did get an itrader point so don't really know how that works.. again hopefully there is a good excuse but if not it would be cool to at least get my money back

Do yourself a favor and initiate the dispute claim with Paypal. If the sale transaction with this member get resolved and you either receive the item or refund, you can close the claim. It takes up to 30 days for the claim process to complete so get it started.
