are all strut tower braces the same? why

so I've been looking at engine bay pictures and I really like the look of a strut tower brace in there.

are all brands for the braces going to produce the same results in handling? I'm wondering bc there are some in the $100-200 range and some as high as $900.

do they really help with handling period?

thank you for ur comments and info

All are the same. Some look better than the other, some are lighter than the other. But they all work the same.

Even with a cheap generic strut bar, you can feel the difference from stock right away.

Just buy a cheap one and put a nismo badge on it. lol

All strut tower bars are not created equal. I've only owned the NRG bar (which is the same as the Richie), but I've heard from others who have own both the NRG and GT Spec bar that the GT Spec bar is much better. I've handled both and the NRG one is "flimsy" compared to the GT Spec. The ARC bar is even stronger and is considered the best STB for our cars along with the Relentless Auto STB (not sure if this one is still being made). I would say that the best "bang for your buck" STB is the GT Spec STB.

Even a cheap one would really help and stiffen up the suspension over stock. You can find several for under $200.

I first owned the NRG and didn't feel a difference till I installed my stillen. The NRG was just too flexible

^More reasons why I want the ARC bar...haha. The NRG just isn't cutting it.

That and you need to finish the matchy matchy

I don't know that I'm sold on the ARC being one of the better ones just based on the design (bowed). Is it a solid piece at least? I've never run it though so I can't really give a real opinion on it. I would think that the stillen and relentless would offer the best support due to the more straight design of the bar

but what about a daily driver G, that is lightly used as a spirited driver? Would a $200 and under be enough?

ARC stuff is overpriced, period but they are superior built parts. Quality and craftmanship is top notch but so is the price In other words, paying the high retail price for ARC isn't going to get you a better performing piece, in regards to this bar....just my opinion though...again, I have never run the ARC bar.

I can't speak for all the bars on the market but I'm happy with the stillen which is priced around the $200 tag

From handling the ARC bar I can tell you that its super stiff, I cant get it to bend when I apply pressure to it like the NRG bar does. I can't speak to the design of the bar, I don't have any expertise in that area. Hearing from those that have it they think it makes a big difference and performs better than most other bars out there.

The Stillen bar leaves very little room underneath it.

^true...you can't run your OEM cover with it.

Thats good to hear Marcus cause of the big price tag on it, I would want it to be one of the best. I have to admit, I like ALL of ARCs products

haha because who wants to spend 800 on a damn strut bar? thats a set of decent rims or a catback. 800 for a strut bar is ridiccc. idc if that takes you from .9 G to achieving .95 G's on a skid ill pass and buy s stillen or GT spec STB

^Decent rims for $800...from where? TE37 reps, which are very nice, cost more than that dont they?

There is no way to justify the ARC price tag, although their products are of the highest quality. Its ARC and rare in most cases so its high in price. I love my ARC goodies
