taking my car to the dealership on tuesday for horrible engine noise coming from block on cold startup. Thinking my engine is shot due to the oil consumption issue... any help on what to tell service advisor? so they can hopefully change my block.. trying to get info from people who had this issue solved from the dealer. thanks

 

yeah mine does it too on cold start up but not all the time..

It may be a timing chain rattle common on all VQs, is it just on startup like a quick 1-3 second metalic noise? I had the same noise on my maxima and now in my G.

 

timing chain at 65,000 miles??? that doesnt sound right... but hey could be, I guess we will find out on tuesday. I have an appointment at sawgrass infiniti...
