armrest quesion about my 03 coupe

i have a pre 2003.5 6mt coupe (production at 2002 Oct) and i really would like an armrest and closer cupholder. from my research, i think the only post 2003.5 and 2004 center console are direct swap? but i can swap the armrest part with an automatic?
