MOST of those cars didn't start sell at $35-$40K back in $2003. That's one huge difference you're conveniently omitting. When a lot of us bought our cars, they were more exclusive. Not only were they a little more reserved in terms of who owned them, they hadn't been around long enough to show up in any numbers in the resale market. If you wanted one, you paid retail or found one at high book used. All that is different today.
When they first hit and through probably 2005, fewer younger people were able to afford them - that's a fact of life. Now that they fall into the category with a lot of other cars they are more accessible to teenagers. All you have to do is look around. That fact that they are selling for less doesn't make them any less of an automobile - it happens to all of them, some more than others.
KBB and what they sell for are two very different things. The guy that trys to sell for Bluebook, in most markets and most cases, will be holding the car for a long time because they can easily be gotten for less.
Two things: One get the rpf1's in 19 with aggressive offsets over oem 19's b/c they are light and imo add a track, functional, look to your car (ive got the 19x10r 19x8.5f +24 all around) and Second Im 18 years old fyi just to feed the civic comparison... got my g for 18k... 04 6mt 40xxx miles.
I assuming "bbk" stands for "big break kit"?? i don't know too much car lingo like that but yea that would be a lot nicer. The problem is the money, a bbk along with a set of wheels would be around 3000-5000 and i really just dont have that much money to be spending right now.
You're missing the point.
