Haha I was about to reply. ART pipes are definitely the way to go. Slightly quieter than HFCs, decreases drone, no rasp, and huge torque gains in the lower rpms.

I see you have the ART pipes.. How much do you love them?.. No XYZ?

Very much! One of the best mods I've done, well worth the money. I replaced my F.I. HFC's with these and don't plan on ever changing them. I do have the xyz pipe, but I can't use it's modules since I have the TDX resonator.

How bad is the smell? That's the only thing that is turning me off from the ART pipes unless maybe I get the XYZ with HFC module to help decrease the fumes.

you should just get Berk or FI HFC s and see what you think. It will give you a deeper growl and you might be satisfyed. That way if you decide to get a catback, you wont be wasting any money

It really depends on the person. I, too, never wanted tp's because i thought I wouldn't stand the smell and rasp, so I bought HFCs. Then the ART pipes were released and the extra power was just too good to pass up. The smell doesn't bother me at all. And the only time you smell it is when you're at a red light or in traffic with your windows down.

Some people even like the smell lol. My buddy Jayk couldn't stand the smell when he got his art pipes, so he got the cat module for his xyz pipe. He said it really helped with the fumes and didn't notice any significant power loss.

Did you end up going with this setup? Any feedback?

Is the sound really that much louder or different than stock?

I have this combination and although I was originally going to replace my stock exhaust I found this to be a great balance. It's the stock VQ sound with a much deeper tone that's not much, if any, louder.
Dyno tune with my other mods made good power gains and also made the sound come alive. WOT is noticeable but not offensive.

Quote: I ran that set up with a Stillen exhaust. You will get the deeper growl alright! Almost undriveable between 18-2500 rpm! The drone was horrible!
You can't compare Stillens y-pipe back exhaust with MotorDynes, it's not a performance exhaust! I have the HKS HP exhaust with BERK'S HFCs with zero rasp, at highway speed you can't hear the exhaust. Order you MD exhaust today, you may have it by spring...

Thanks "LMG_35C". My objectives were very similar to the OP, so it's good to have your confirmation. I wanted to add the best "bang for buck" mods, trying to keep similar exhaust noise/tone, not have any emissions issues and maybe shed a bit of weight. I think your setup with intake (z-tube, Mrev2, spacer) and exhaust (Berks & XYZ resonated) combined with an Osiris is the jackpot!

However, like you I am slightly tempted to get an MD exhaust too. It doesn't really pass the "bang-4-buck" test like the other mods, but I've read some real good reviews (does MD make a bad product?) and there's so many combinations to suit my picky wants, it might be hard to not get one before the Osirus tune. Wallet vs Will Power..

Do you have a link to your dyno results?

Any sound clips either?

Anyone with the art pipes, xyz pipe and hfc module pair with stock exhaust? I wonder if you can retain the stock 2k-3k roar
