binder clip, sold at pretty much every stationary store you can possibly think of.

Good idea!

I suggest that you use a stainless steel binder clip. The cheap black ones will rust and the rust coming off of the clip may stain the bumper.

I am glad this is helpful to you guys.

Like tsolin01 say, the plate holder flush against the bumper very tight so it shouldn't scratch the bumper. However if you are skeptical then you can put some foam lining on the contact areas ( the outer edges).

The stainless steel suggestion is great. thx

Havent taken out the adapter out of my trunk, but are the screws to hold the license plate short enough so that it will not go through the bumper?

I forgot to mention that the original screws are too long so yes u should use shorter screws which adds another 10cents to the overal cost

i just installed mine.. i put the bolt on there also for insurance.. so if the clip just happens to slide down it can't because the bolt is preventing it to... holds up great!

the bolt i bought is 5 inches long.

^ Wow talking about digging this from the grave. All the pics got messed up a little over a yr ago. Hopefully the OP or somebody with this can take some shots.

i've been using this method for a while now! everytime i get a front plate ticket i just clip it on. one time the cop just yanked it off though... but i just took it to another station
