Sorry this is just my obsession with doing things right....as I see it!

Ionic sells a great replica grill and the fitment should be spot-on. They can sell them in CF, painted or unpainted. Personally, i would not opt for the plastic auto mesh though, I wound up going to Home Depot and purhasing a 3' length of gutter guard metal mesh that I trimmed down, then primered and spray painted with truck bed liner rubber paint to prevent chipping. This paint provides a slightly rough finish. Believe it or not, it looks great, and thus far, I have not had any rock chips. Eventually, I will replace the lower valences with the same material as well.

^I've been wanting to do the same thing. The mesh in my Ionic c/f grill is different than the mesh in my K2 bumper. I want them both to match (OCD).

Thank you at least someone agrees with me. Like I said the griile looks good just disappointed in the quality of the mesh

Most, if not all, metal/wire meshes come bare (silver) and need to be painted (just looks stupid if it's left unpainted). Chips just waiting to happen. But not with the plastic mesh that Ionic supplies.

I've had my mesh grille installed for a while and zero problems.
I got the same plastic mesh originally, the problem was that there were not enough mounting nails on the backside of the grill to prevent areas of tension loss on the plastic mesh piece. What happened was that in the sunlight, you could see depressions where the mesh wasn't nice and tight against the backside of the grill. Options were to glue it but I didn't want to take any chances of seeing visible glue lines, so I eventually opted for metal mesh using the same mounting nails from the back of the grill because it is much more reinforced.
