Altitude n Octane
Altitude n Octane
So this ? is for the smart ladies or gentlemen. How does octane change at altitude? I was reading a post on NICO forum on this subject and it seem to me that the octane drops as elevation takes place. So should i go to a higher octane to compensate to level out. Granted i only use 91 from chevron or shell ONLY. I live around 5500 ft, i work at 6800, and have fun between 7K to 10K feet. Now according to the graph they had at sea level 91 is 91 but as i went to 5k feet it went down to 89 or 88.
Please educate me cause ill go higher if my baby needs it for elevation
I drive my car like its meant to be driven
