A/c problems
A/c problems
So my 04 G35 coupe has become an oven with the temps running almost daily above 90+ in NJ/NY. I have my ac at full blast and in ideal temperatures(below 80) it blows semi cool but above 80 its either just neutral air or slightly warm air. I take the car in to a local place and after checking freon, etc he starts thinking its the compressor. but after looking at my new cabin filter(I changed it a few days ago with help from this site) he asked how long the previous filter was in, I told him I wasnt sure since i had bought the car with about 50000 miles, but its conceivable it could have gone 60000+ with the same filter. he then says thats whats wrong and that dirt and debris are blocking the a/c, and he recommends taking apart the dash completely and cleaning it out. he also said the evaporator core is clogged and also needs to be replaced. I wasnt really convinced so i am wondering what you guys think. ive had random people say it looks like the compressor. either way im taking it somewhere else for a second opinion.
