Just want to share a sad moment of the month story with all fellow "G" OwnER .

GOt my "G" from the dealer on late sept.okay all the paper work are finish .Went out side and there it is my laser red coupe .(the best feeling ) only have joy ..the saleman gave me the key to the "G" .second away from leaving ..i double check the "G" .see if everything is okay .then i found out that the front bumper have a some kind indention on the top of the bumper.so i was like what the F@#$ is this .The saleman gave me A "WE OWE" receipt,to go back in a time of 30 day's .So on 10-2-04 I took a few hour off from work to pick my"G" up very happy again .so I did'nt have that much time left.I was looking at that spot where the indention was and it was not the best work ,but i was like at least the rock chip i Made was fixon the bumper was fix.so I was driving back to work on a highway 1 hour drive ..there
I was 30 sec.then i get off the( highway NYC B.Q.E) driving on fast lane (left side) because of the middle and right section was pot hole's and mini rock's so i stay off ,because of to many truck's have to stay away be4 i get any rock chip on my repainted front bumper .so I stay on the fast lane going slow like 40 mhp.I let all the truck's go way in front of me be4 i make a move to cut out toward's right to get out of the exit .so i was bout to make a move IN SLOW MOTION I SAW A 4"x4" 3/8 THICK STOCK STEEL ANGLE FLYING TOWARD'S MY CAR FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY OFF A WELDING TRUCK LIKE A FORD 1996 F-150 .I WAS LIKE HOLY **** THINKING CRAZY FAST WHAT TO DO ...WHAT TO DO...I SAW MY REAR MIRROR AND A FREAKIN X5 BMW GUY WAS RIGHT UP IN MY REAR LIKE INCHIES AND LIKE FORCING ME TO GO FASTER AND NEXT TO ME IS THIS ELDER GUY LOOKING AT ME AND PUT HIS DUMP'S UP RIGHT NEXT TO ME SAYING COOL RIDE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT BUT HE WAS IN MY WAY(can't cut lane and can't stop on the dot or i will get hit right on my rear .so i slow down to 10 mhp the best i can do from not getting rear end .AND THERE IT WAS MY SAD MONTH OF OCT.THE 4"STEEL ANGLE HIT MY FRONT BUMPER ,BE4 I EVEN MAKE IT BACK TO WORK =*(.EVEN WORST THAN BE4 ,.A FEW DAY'S LATER I BOUGHT TOUCH -UP PAINT AND FILL IN THE nEw INDENTION OF A PIECE OF ANGLE INDENTED ON TO MY BOTTOM BUMPer. and now i may go aftermarket bumper (greddy) just have one ? how high is the greddy bumper off the ground .posted this on the detailing forum also....

Wow.. I think that was a harder read than Hamlet.

Anyways, I feel for ya man, I also received a "We Owe" ticket when I first got my car for a litlte dent in the front bumper, scratch in the taillight, and a light scratch on the trunk. After I took it to the dealership, I went straight to my guy for the clear bra installation. It's been good to me so far... no rock chips!!!

Evidently there's something to sympathize with in this story, but unfortunately, it's written in some kind of incoherent babble-speak that I can't get through even a small part of it without feeling a massive headache coming on.

Try writing it again perhaps, like a grownup might. I'm pretty good at being sympathetic, but I prefer not to injure myself in the process.

He might not be of this country and is just picking up the language. There is no need for such hostilities. Are you that much better of a person than he is for the incoherent writing? He has a G, I have a G; good enough for me. He needs help, I'll give it. He tells us a story, I read it. Simple.

Anyways, sorry about your bumper. Sucks having a minor incident in the beginning stages of owning/leasing your car. But things happen and you can't prevent it. So drive on. =)

For some reason you need to be some sort of english major to post in these forums... as long as you know what the person means, who cares how he writes it? I'm sure when someone is talking to you in person, you don't automatically correct them if they're grammar or pronunciation is slightly off...

anyway, murphy's law sucks man... good luck on getting the new bumper and the BQE sucks *****...

Typing properly on the internet can be likened to wiping the urine off of the rim of your friends toilet seat when you're finished peeing. It's may not be absolutely necessary but should be done none the less.

 

it was a difficult read but i got through it. on that note, if you just glance at it quickly (kind of like when you procrastinate in school and have to get through a book or multiple chapters in a limited amount of time) you can pick up enough words to understand what's going on.

good luck with the bumper. hopefully if you get an aftermarket one this "luck" won't be around you.

Sorry to hear about what happened to your new G. You should just take it in to a good body shop, and I would guess fixing that new bumper would be cheaper than getting a new bumper, repainting, installing, etc...
