I'm new to the G family. Need some help from you guys.

As you guys can see by the title I'm new to the G spot. A quick question, which is the best setup to get the rich, deep, exotic sound out of the car with an exhaust? I was looking into buying a ShockWave))) TDX2. I'm ok with it being loud, but not so loud that I cant stand it while cruising. I also want to keep it as stuck as possible (for now).

Here are some pictures, tell me what you guys think.

For some reason all the videos I have seen on YouTube don't convince me to buy the HKS exhaust. Do you have that setup?

Thank you J. What did you buy with the exhaust? Do I need to buy the XYZ pipes. Do I need to buy an Intake or am I good leaving everything stock...?

Welcome to the forums!

The shockwave TDX is a great choice! My shockwave V2 TDX is in order right now. Id say stick with motordyne exhaust and you have the money, get the ART pipes as well.
The HKS exhaust is good as well but sounds/looks ricey in my opinion.

Best mods for our cars:

5/16 Plenum spacer
Replacing the cats (cats are the most restrictive part on the g35)
exhaust

Id stay away from aftermarket CAI. If you want anything similar to a CAI id get a Ztube. Just note that not every aftermarket part you put on the G35 will gain you HP

Enjoy the mod fever.. It will never stop :P

Good you did some research!

I added the MD ART Pipes for the add sound & performance.
Purchasing the whole "catback" exhaust includes the XYZ.

I see you're an 06 Revup. Keep the stock intake. You're good there.
I need to go back to stock.

Thank you Trix. I'm thinking of getting the ART Pipes too, but what sound difference will I notice? Because they are 1/3 the price of the exhaust.

Yes J. This guy came up to me the other day telling me all kinds of mods and things for my car. He said the intake is a must if you get the exhaust. But I don't see why....

The ART pipes keep the classic Infiniti (dying-whale sound, lol) tone but makes it much more aggressive and louder (but not too loud)

Video i took yesterday

"this guy" is a noob. Seach around the forums to gain knowlege about what works best for your car. Spend some time learning to navagate a forum (its pretty simple). You will learn more information by utilizing the search feature than you can by simply making a new post asking "whats best"

That is exactly how want it. If is not too much to ask, how much was the exhaust, and the art pipes combined and shipped to your house?

I just called MD and they are out of stock..1 month and 1/2 wait.
