After I got my coupe about two years ago, I changed out the stock 4300k to 8000k and I thought they looked pretty damn good until about a month ago, when one of the bulbs blew out and for some odd reason, I decided to get 6000k replacements. I couldn't be happier, I was so surprised at how close the LEDs in the DRL and the main bulb in the project match. And guess what, MORE visibility lol, no brainer right? I couldn't believe at how much brighter everything got. Even the girlfriend noticed and she never pays attention to such thing. Ok enough with the rant, please don't put 12k in your car. And +11111111 on projectors.

I have a 2005 coupe with 06 projectors and 12k HID bulbs and I love it. Installation is easy and all you gotta buy is the bulbs on ebay I bought mine for $16 like 5 months ago and they still work fine.

get 12k if you like the idea of not being able to see at night.

+1 my cousin has 12k on his honda and i can see sh*t at night while driving his car... god forbid it rains... you might as well turn off the lights and you'll get almost the same visibility

disclaimer: only take half of what i say seriously lol

Considering the visibility of 12000K lights, I would be inclined to take what you said as truth.

5000k or 6000k is all you'll need !
As you don't want to cheap out on brakes and tires, lights probably go 3rd on the list.
If you can't see at night, it doesn't matter if you have 1000000 HP

4300k actually produces the most lumens. Thats the reason why OEM use 4300k. But 5k or 6k is probably the best compromise between getting more blue and lumens.

I would just get 5k bulbs though. The cheap 5k bulbs you see on ebay are chinese bulbs that will color shift pretty quickly to 6k anyways.
