06 Projector Install help

Hey my 06 projectors came in today and I want to install them on my 05 Coupe. I have been searching but cant find a decent write up or DIY for this. Can anyone help me out? Ive seen that a lot of people completely remove front bumper. Is this necessary? I really want to get these installed so I appreciate any help.

You have to atleast loose the bumper to get to the bolts.

Just take the old ballasts off the reflectors its one screw and transplant to your new ones.

Great. Thanks for the link.

Now after this part I should be able to take headlights out and switch the ballasts over and then pretty much be ready to install the new lights?

So I got the headlights installed and running but are the daytime running lights supposed to always be on when I turn my headlights on? They are yellow lights and I think it would look better with out them on.

^ yes they stay on. You can remove the bulbs if you don't want them on and just turn your fogs on when you want the lower housings lit up. The bulbs are the small 194/168 bulb that plugs in the rear of the lower part of the housing

I did mine yesterday and by taking off the front bumper was by the easiest route. Not as bad as I thought it would be and well worth the swap. I tested the lights against a wall last night and they are about dead on!

^Cool man. I just got done with the install and i took the bumper off too. You gonna leave your DRLs on? I was hoping there might be something as simple as a fuse to pull to not have them on.

If not, Ill just do what elayman said and remove the bulbs from the housings. Thanks for the help.

Watch running your fogs all the time. If the lights throw off a lot of heat they can warp or melt and crack the housings. Usually the bulb has alot to do with this and i wouldnt recommend anything ebay from personal experience.

Project, thanks for the tips and that link. It helped a lot in the install process. I'll just run the lights for a bit and see how I like them before I make any changes. They look so sick to me. Im really glad I bought them.
