They're both quality systems and made very well, however the HKS exhaust sounds/looks better along with weighing less....

Sorry I'm late

The questions you're asking depend entirely on your personal taste, as both sound and looks are subjective. Look at pics of both of them installed on cars and decide which one looks better to you. Listen to clips of both exhaust on youtube, or better yet, find people local to you who has those systems and listen to them yourself to see which you like best.

IMO, out of those two systems, I'd go for the HKS.

Or take a look at Motordyne exhaust systems

This seems to be most everyone's opinion....^....Listening to sound clips is a waste of your time cause they're only as good as the equipment there recorded on. You need to attend a few meets and here the different systems for yourself....that's the true test! Or buy HKS like I recommended! lol

^ While I agree that the vast majority of exhaust clips on YouTube suck, there are a few videos out there that represent how the exhaust really sounds. Jayk's exhaust video of his Shockwave+ART pipes combo is pretty spot on as to how the exhaust sounds in person.

But yeah, definitely don't base your decision on just youtube vids.

But what about the stock exhaust? I love the sound but it seems like somethings lacking from it. Would it sound better if i got HFCs or a HR ypipe? Will it still be restrictive hp wise? I want to get the HKS but I dont want it to be too loud and obnoxious and I dont wanna lose that sweet tone of the stock.

^ It'd sound better with both. I used to have that combo, F.I. HFC's + HR y-pipe, and loved it (I love my current setup more though). You'll gain most of the power from the HFC's, but the HR y-pipe will give you some small gains as well.

One of my dyno vids, 1st half is with hfc+y pipe:

Damn Fab, I didn't know you had HFC.

Makes me wanna get some, but I've heard some burn out after so many miles.

Yeah, I really liked them up until the ART pipes were released and switched to those lol. I can't speak for other brands, but I really haven't read a lot (if any) of complaints of F.I. HFC's. I know eventually one or both might burn out, but I can't imagine it doing so any time soon. I guess it depends on your tune too.
