Hey guys I gota a 03 G35 6mt and my buddy has got an 06 G35 6mt. Ive got the ztube and plenum spacer. And hes got the ztube with the plenum spacer and also the MREV2. So were cruisin down the highway and did a 60 roll both in 4th gear, we were side by side all the way through 4th and then when I shifted to 5th he completly pulled on me like he hit the nitrious or something and pretty much blew me away. I was very surprised how much faster the 06 pulled at higher speeds then the 03. IDK I just didnt think that 20 extra HP made that much difference, was under the impression that its a drivers race between the two cars wat do you all think.

 

Shift faster?

-Revups have more HP than non-revups but have less TQ (HP is more valuable for rolling starts) which will allow the revups to overtake non revups from rolls and higher speeds stock vs. stock.
-Revups have a higher redline and are therefore able to hold their gears longer, so since you guys were both pulling from 4th, you have to shift sooner than him which will put you behind.
-Throw in the gains from the MREV 2..

So yes, he'll pull from you =)

Yea I kinda figured those things ur saying as well. One thing I did recognize tho is that at least his 2nd gear redline and my 2nd gear redline are both 60 mph. But his 4th gear must be longer then mine an that must be when the revup shines at the higher speeds
