2005 G35C on BILLBOARD = SCION

I was passing by today and i saw the 2005 G35 Coupe on the Billboards and the rims were different. The RIMS LOOKED LIKE THE SCION RIMS. It is very similar to the scion TC rims. I dont know whats that all about but it looks very close to a Scion now.

the new scion billboard looks like a DG coupe IMO.

I don't know. I still think the G Coupe looks darn sexy and unique. The scion tC looks like it is having an identity crisis. Looks to me like design cues were lifted off of at least 5 cars.

i always thought the tC was a cool little car. you can see the styling cues taken from the g, note the body side curvature

I like the tC, Toyota did a nice job copying cues off 5 other cars. Note the BMW headlights, GT-R front bumper, G35C side profile, Acura CL/RL tail lamps.... but the package comes together nicely. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Re: 2005 G35C on BILLBOARD = SCION

The tails rather remind me of a Hyundai Tiburon.

And here's the punchline:

Base Engine Size: 2.4 liters..........3.5 liters
Horsepower: 160 hp.............298 hp
Torque: 163 lb-ft...........260 lb-ft
Base MSRP: $15,xxx...........$32,xxx

Hehe, indeed flattery.

It's also wrong wheel drive Not a bad looking car tho. But I won't be confusing it with a G coupe.

Great little car if you're not a "big dog." I would drive that for sure if i was a youngster (well, under 18...to some my being 23 still makes me a youngster )) From the side you can definitely see the G35C influences. The window line is nearly identical and the new 19's on the G are strikingly similar and absolutely hideous in my opinion. The front of the tC is also very close to that of the IS300. Just a few thoughts...

In the timeless words of Rick James, "I wish I had two more hands so I could give [the new 19's] four thumb down....bitches!"

I like the tC, but those two pictures (tC & G35c) should put any doubt to rest on how similar the two cars look, which is not even close in my opinion.
I'd definitely consider the tC if I was shopping in that bracket though. Looks to be a high quality ride for fairly modest money. Plus, you can get a factory backed supercharger. Wouldn't it be awesome if we could get an Infiniti backed supercharger for our G?
