its pretty hard to break the switch . Its just a white piece inside that slides back and forth .Wiring the leds in them is a little hard since it has almost no room .You have to cut one leg off the led and solder up a resistor to it so one leg of led is on one pin and resitor on the other pin.

Heres a pic of mine. Not the best quality though but it may help with fixing it .

i see what you me . Your suppose to take it of from the bottom not the switch part . You stick a small screw driver and pop the bottom out and the whole cover with switch slides off . Problem is the link shows it wrong . the switch is not supposed to be taken off of the cover . Dont know why he did that at all

The conole just pulls up and switch slides out the bottom .Takes litterally 1 min to get them out .

Pull down shifter trim on the shifter remove cotter pin then just lift the shifter off (10sec.)
Open armrest and lift main console piece (comes right up) .(2 sec.
Switches are just force fit .Pull tab and slide switch out the bottom(10sec.)
Unclip wire harness (10sec)

To open you will see a tiny opening on each side of the bottom of the switch housing. Insert flat head there and pop the cover up and slide off
