I just put inseptions down and they paid the last payment of my bmw with was $540....U have a lot of barganing to do dude......plus they are trying to get rid of the 2004's you can get a monster deal.....Good Luck
Re: is it me or ?!!!@!@!@
The whole not giving you back your drivers license is a scam. They do that so you have to go back and get it. I was checking out STi's w/ my friend and he decided to test drive one. They "accidently" forgot to give him back his license. It's just a plot to get you back in there.
Re: is it me or ?!!!@!@!@
the lease payment they quoted you is pretty right on! baes on the 35500 selling price...i would work on getting the selling price down....check this link...http://www.leasecompare.com/leasequo...amed=undefined

What Audi promotion is this? I've been looking at the S4...looks a little boring...but I'm sure that can be fixed.
-edit-...ah, it's actually NOT less in the long run. The special is $499 for a 42 month lease.

A person old enough to test drive a car should have no problem remembering to ask for their license back. If they forget to, it's their fault - not the dealer's.

"im sorry mr BMW3toG35C.. your telling me you havent forgotten your phone, wallet, or any other [censored] at home or something before??"
---Of course I have, countless times. It never occurred to me to blame anyone else for it though. I've always assumed it was up to me to take responsibility for the functioning (or non-functioning) of my brain..
"when someone gets you mad and you walk out in a scenario like this, i forgot my license."
---You said nothing about "being mad" until now, but it still doesn't make it anyone else's fault that you forgot to ask for your license back.
"its partiall my fault .. i forgot.. but this is common.. all the other dealerships and people i know told me the same story.. they didnt remind you or give back your license so they can bring you back in"
---Whatever. If it's a 'trick" it's a pretty weak one. They have to count on you to space out for it to work, and...oops...you did. And you can't be certain the salesman didn't honestly forget it too. Would you blame your wife/girlfriend/parent if you left your license/wallet/lunchbox at home?

---I love this. You're suggesting that I blamed you for your license being lost *before* you mentioned that fact. "Rolleyes" indeed.
If the dealer misplaced your license it' s pretty lame of them, no argument. I hope they find it soon.
However...
Before the flames start flying here let me offer a little explanation. The reason I'm engaged in this discussion is because it seems like a good (though very minor) example of something that I think is going disturbingly wrong in american culture. It's one of my newer "pet peeves", so please don't take it too personally.
Increasingly, people seem to feel entitled (a key word) to take the position that problems they've in fact created are actually someone else's fault. Then they work themselves up into states of anger and righteous indignation, based on their completely fallacious points of view. In some cases it's reached almost unimaginably ludicrous levels, like the NYC teens who tried to sue McDonalds, saying its food was to blame for thier obesity (one of them weighed 400 lbs or so, and ate huge McDonalds meals several times each day). While this is an extreme example, there are sadly *way* too many of its kind. I'm not equating your position with anything that outlandish, but...honestly...how could anyone blame someone else when they've just plain forgotten to ask for their license back? Whether it was the salesman's intent to "let you" forget it or not (which is anyone's guess), *you* forgot it.
It also bothers me when other people defend this kind of thinking, which is why I'm taking the time to write this here. Encouraging this kind of attitude misserves us all. Next time *you'll* be the one being unjustly blamed for someone else's screwup, and I can guarantee you you'll be quite thoroughly and rightly outraged. What goes around comes around...

Re: is it me or ?!!!@!@!@
Can't say as I can argue with anything you've said. We seem to have turned into a "it's not my fault" society. And poor McDonald's seems to be on the receiving end of a lot of it. From the "Hot" coffee on forward.
BTW, don't get the idea that I'm a McDonald's fan - I'm not. However an In-N-Out Burger, that's a whole other story.

Re: is it me or ?!!!@!@!@
point taken.. thank you.. however, if it was their intent to not say anything while i was walking away without my license, then its just plain wrong..
there are good people in this world..
example..
atm machine.. a person forgets their CC at the machine, about 5 times now, i have taken it out and ran over to the person to give it to them.. is it their fault for leaving iyot? yes..
i am at fault for this this too and people have remineded me or have done the same in return... many many people do this.. if you havent, then super duper for you !
my point of this is .. [censored] happends, and comming from a dealership which run a legit business.. you wouldnt expect this.. i never knew of it until i told everyone..
yea, i forgot it, but the momment they decided to keep it and knowingly held it back not saying anything, in my eyes, puts them at fault.
if your knowingly helding back info or someones personal property.. how would you feel.. put yourself for a momment in my shoes..
thanks

Re: is it me or ?!!!@!@!@
I thought that if you're leasing a vehicle, you should never put any money down, just pay the first month's lease. What's the point of putting money down on a car that you'll never own? Am I mistaken?
