High Mileage Buyers Guide?
High Mileage Buyers Guide?
I need the advice of experienced owners of higher mileage G35s. I just traded off a Saab 9-3 and started to look at 03 and 04 sedans available from private parties with an automatic. These cars are generally around 100,000 miles, give or take.
I have performed my own auto repairs since the 1970s on a number of high mileage Nissans, Lincolns, Saabs, Mercedes, and Fords. As such, I’ve got a nice shop and tools.
Can those of you with higher mileage vehicles tell me what to look for in a well cared for G35? Not just oil change frequency, but which components fail if they’re not serviced correctly, regularly or just ignored? In addition can you share your experiences about painfully expensive repairs you’ve made when the clock was north of 75,000 miles?
Before asking this question I performed a number of searches looking for a thread which provided this information. I apologize in advance if there was a “High Mileage Buyers Guide” somewhere.
Thanks in advance for your insight.
