Help!!! Electrical problems!!!
Ok so my drivers side marker wires had gotten exposed from rubbing on my tire. (The fender liner had been damaged from a shop not knowing what the hell they were doing. But that's another story.) The wires were melted together from touching. They were melted together in the harness almost up to the firewall. I cut out all the burnt pieces because I was going to run new wire. But the problem is. The fuse for my parking lights keeps popping.
I basically cut the wire from the firewall to the headlight harness. From what I can see the wires aren't touching anywhere else. But the fuse keeps popping. The fuse box itself is fine. There's power were it should be. Everything else works as it should. The headlights, blinkers, brakeslights, etc. But when I activate the parking lights. The fuse pops. At this point. I don't know what to do. I even disconnected passenger side marker to make sure there wasn't any damage there. But from what I can see everything is were it's supposed to be. But I have no parking lights because that fuse keeps popping. Please give me some guidance if any. Because for now I can't drive my car at night, and I don't want to take it to the dealer. Thanks in advance

I can't quite picture what your situation is, but my only suggestion is to get in there with a voltmeter and check for continuity instead of eyeballing it. You can slowly trace back where the short is occurring, if that is indeed your problem.
The wire might be to thin to run the charge. Therefore resulting in an overload blowing the fuse. What gauge did you use? Are you sure theres no other hot spots you didnt see on the harness?
Project- I didn't even get a chance to run the wire yet. The fuse just keeps popping. From what I can see it's not touching anywhere anymore. I checked most of the harness.
+1, after checking it...i would check the passenger side also.
