how do you get rid of the tire chop on the 03G?

my tires have about 5k miles on them and at 40mph or above the tire hum noise is noticeable. I know these cars are known for tire feathering is there any way to correct it or will a camber kit help only. I am not lowered much and my toe is in spec but my camber is out a little in the rear. I have the spc kit in the back no kit in the front yet. any help would be grate.

A camber kit will help, but also get the toe bolts to match.

it solved my issues. Good Luck!

^^yes I have the toe bolt in the rear
my toe is total 0.08 up font
and total 0.23 in the rear.

once your tire starts chopping will it go away if you fix the camber or will it get worst?

camber is -2.0 in the rear and -1.7 in the front

Unfortunately, front inside feathering goes with G35 Coupe ownership. Camber kits may or may not help, but the expense of them is also something to consider. Tires are one of the biggest expense with our cars. Do a search. G35 Coupes do go through tires rather quickly. It would be wise to find a tire without an aggressive tread. Non directional or assymetrical tires are also a better choice to keep feathering in check.

That noise you call hum will become the famous Roooaaarr in time and the inside of your tires will be wasted. So you won't need to buy tires yearly you'll need toe bolts for the rear and adjustable a-arms for the front, that along with an aligment will cure your wear issues....

I have Kinetix adjustable control arms up front (dialed in near neutral), Tein H-Techs (moderate drop) all around and a great alignment. New Kumho's started getting loud before 5k miles. Just seems to be the Achilies heal of the G. Hasn't seemed to affect drivability at all, though.

It's the fronts rustaman, but you want to have the rear alignment as close to OE specs as possible too if it requires adjustable camber adjusters or the toe bolts....don't you have both? The fronts will require the adjustable camber arms so you'll have more adjustability like I posted above....

My original bridgestones fronts lasted about 3k before the started cupping in the front. Once I upgraded to a front and rear SPC camber kit and toe bolts...I have now 5Ks on my latest sets of Bridgestones without any inside wear on either the front or rear tires...and I am lowered on Eibach pro kit springs with Tockico HP shocks.

yes I have both camber and toe bolts in the rear I think the rears are the issue. I don't think they adjusted my toe bolts when they did it last time.

question is if I get it corrected will the tire cupping go away? or will it stay cup?

Since I did the camber and toe bolt kits, I have not had any cupping issues on my new set of tires...In fact, they are wearing more evenly now. Im a teacher so im not rich by any means, but knowing that the alignment and proper suspension pieces meant that I will be extending the life of the tire...which means more money for mods!

Again, good luck!

Rustaman, keep a close eye on your front tires. From the alignment results you're not even close to OE specs. Every oil change inspect them for inside 1/4 wear, that's something I do even though my alignment is within OE specs.
